Old Block V9 Cabernet Sauvignon

Voyager Estate Old Block V9 Cabernet Sauvignon draws from a patch of vines planted in 1978, a core component of Voyager Estate's original site. Its fruit is a distinctive expression of southern Margaret River Cabernet.

Fruit from the Old Block is hand harvested. The bunches are gently destemmed and sorted to retain as many whole berries as possible for fermentation.

Once pressed from the skins, the wine matures in 50% new tight grained French oak for 18 months. Racking occurs every three months to aid clarification. The wine is fined and filtered prior to bottling.

Inky red, Voyager Estate Old Block V9 Cabernet Sauvignon is concentrated and elegant with sweet berry flavours, gravelly elements, silky tannins and great length.

A pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
